Saharsa is
one of the district of Bihar state in India. It have brief and ancient history.
It is situated beside Koshi river which is a well-known river India for its
mood. Saharsa is a divisional headquarter which have three district Saharsa, Supaul
and Madhepura.
History:

Saharsa
held the important place in history. Earlier in pre-historic period Saharsa was
the part of Mithila which belongs to Raja Janak (from Ramayan). Today Mithila
is a world famous culture which paintings known as Mithila paintings worldwide
and it is much demanding.

Additionally Chandi Sthan at Biratpur is a ancient temple
of Devi chandi.
·
There is one of the shaktipeeth in Dhamara named Katyayni temple.
·
And Tara temple at Mahishi.
·
Also Saharsa is well known about Mandan Mishra. It was
the famous conversation between Mandan Mishra and shankarachaya took place in
Mahishi Saharsa.
Aproach:
Presently there are two ways to reach here from Patna, the capital of
Bihar. Rail route and Bus route are main travel resource. The other third
transportation system is air route which is not in action currently the report
as on 2014.
